Wright vs. Williams...the more I think about it

Winky might just fool everyone.

 

no one is doubting is resume but fight fans get tyson syndrome. they see fighters for what they use to be and when they have an upcoming fight they think of the very best instead of the fighter in decline that just lost his last fight or didn't show up like he use to. and the best one ever he just dominated or ko'd a complete can :yep

all fans have this problem at one point or anothere this will happen the night winkey fights paul.

 

did you read the last part of the post? all those factors i mentioned PW has .

also for anyone bring up the quintana fight needs to realize that CQ and Winkey have 2 different styles and are as different as the sun and moon

think of Tyson vs williams or McBride. Winkey is old and on the decline and PW style is all wrong for him

comparing apples to oranges buddy.

pavlik and williams activity are very different. as well as the angles there punches come from. pavlik usally only throws punches from angles when he gets an oppenet cornered.

and hopkins and winkey defence are even more different. and PW punches alot harder then most people think . with winkey on the decline he lose by KO or TKO.

what is it about winkey style that you think he will beat pw by?

other then he has a better resume or he's more talented or seasoned then paul. how exactly does winkey have a style advantage over Williams?

Im not completely sold on williams in the past i've been one of his harshest critics. but in this fight it all adds up to paul winning .

it is a proven fact that through out history that fight fans when matching up great fighters usally think of a prime young version of that particular fighter. even when that fighter is old and still active and is fighting a younger fighter clearly not in the same talent pool . i used tyson as a prime example. **** i could of used ali or SRR both fighters lost to lesser fighter in there advanced age.

answer again in detail boom how excatly does winky beat williams.

 

Winky is old that is the problem. He has been inactive and the time is for him to fade. I think Williams wins this one easy enough.

 

Winky has no power. He couldn't even hurt Trinidad and Mosley in there fights and he was way bigger than those two. The best he could do is throw his jab and hide under his peek a boo style. If he does that he'll end up like Verno Phillips. Who had to quit after Williams murdered him with body shots. I doubt he'll be able to box in and out like Quintana did in the first fight with Williams. Maybe Wright from ten years ago but this Wright now.

No way this will mirror the Pavlik/Hopkins fight. Hopkins has more power than Winky and Pavlik was too slow. In this fight Williams has the speed advantage and the height advantage. Two advantages that Winky had in his two huge victories against Mosley and Trinidad. I'm predicting a UD depending on Winkys body holding out.

 

Wink has the type of style that leans towards a longer carrer. He is durable, has a great defense, a great jab, and throws a lot of punches. Winky does not rely on a lot of reflexes with his skill set either. He can stand in front of you and get the job done. Wink has a unique skillset that a true boxing fan can appreciate.

Williams is a tough matchup for just about anyone but so is Winky. This is a very interesting matchup featuring 2 world class boxers.

 

By the time he faces Williams he won't have had a fight in 21 months, kinda hard to see 'signs' when a fighter doesn't get in the ring.
