I wouldn't be surprised if it did especially if Winky has anything left. You're talking about the former P4P #2 fighter in the world who schooled both Tito and Mosley who was only dropped from the top 10 P4P for being inactive. I'll wait to make my pick when I see what kind of shape Winky is in.

And if you notice the fight against Taylor and Hopkins is that he struggled against fighters that are bigger than him. Taylor would of beaten Winky if he never kept back peddling with his guard down, because he was winning rounds in the middle of the ring.

Paul Williams is clearly bigger than Winky Wright. As long as Williams doesn't back up and have his guard down, I don't see Winky winning. Oh and he was the #2 p4p with wins over Mosley and Tito, fighters who were within his weight range.

Taylor also had very poor stamina. Which is one of the reasons he went to the ropes so many times in the Wright fight. Williams has great stamina and it showed against Margarito where he threw 100 punches for 12 rounds.

After all the talk of Winky pricing himself out of fights, do we know what the purse splits are for this?

Williams being a taller fighter will give wright an uncommon angle
He simply is not used to
nOW OR THEN THE MATCHUP WOULDbe tough
I hope wink is still himself
He should pull out a tough ud

I'm calling a draw in this fight.

If Winky is about where i think he is in terms of being shot, and Williams is as good as i think he is, then i can see them splitting the rounds 6-6

I honestly don't see Winky winning this. Its a bad match-up for him, because of Williams' size and work rate. Winky doesn't have a neutralizer, like big power, to make his punches that he will land truly count. He is not a make you miss and counter type fighter (like Quintana) and just eats up the punches with his guard. This will invite Williams to pound away at his guard and body. In addition to this, add the long long layoff. The long layoff will guarantee that we will not see the best Winky in there. Paul Williams by UD.

Winky is 37 going on 38, last fought at 170, will have been inactive for almost two years the night of the fight. Other than that, everything else (experience, skill, etc.) is in his favor.

Winky will win this clearly and take advantage of Williams flaws that were exposed by Mitchell and Quintana.

i see this too it just depends what winky has left. Those fights which i watched recently certainly showed an alarming lack of head movement and bad defense plus he doesnt deal too well with lateral movement.

The thing about it is, Williams won't be landing anything, Wright will be.

That "alarming lack of head movement" is a key point. Couple that with Paul's habit of holding his right hand down low, and you have a recipe for disaster. Anybody who has a long, sharp jab is a nightmare for Williams. People keep prattling on about Paul's height and reach advantages, but he does not do a good job of fighting tall, and Winky has freakishly long arms. If Wright has at least 3/4 of a tank of gas left, he'll win a clear UD. If Winky is shot, like some people think, and Williams wins, he gets knocked out when he steps up against KP. That's my story, and I'm stickin' to it.

This is what im thinking if he has nothing left than Williams will win on workrate alone.Even if Wright is shot to hell I cant see him getting TKO'd especially by Williams.

Then you can bet Williams will get a close decision. No way Winky will get any slack,he's on his way out and Williams is just getting to stardom.

    I cant agree with that

if it were true then they would of given Taylor the win over him
