Are a lot of the journalists and writers for Boxing News Magazine volunteers or are they all qualified journalists being paid for weekly articles? Just interested on how one might get involved in boxing journalism and writing for such a magazine. Appreciate any feed back :good
I think the editorial team are all qualified. To get involved in any boxing journalism just start writing and targeting websites. Check the BN website for e-mail addresses. Contact D Flexen and he might be able to help you. Web work is unpaid a mag entry is paid. I did work for both, great experience. Alternatively, start somewhere else and build your profile. There's hundreds of sites out there. Or you can send over some work to me for Undisputed - a digital boxing magazine due to launch in the summer. See my avvy for website. This content is protected

If you are interested in doing features find an interesting subject find an angle and make a submission by email to Glyn Leach at Boxing Monthly they are always interested in looking at new pieces from different writers.
That sounds like a decent opportunity. Just need to think about a decent angle. The good thing about writing in boxing is that it is very easy to make connections, especially if you are involved in amateur boxing and round about gyms ect. Also the use of forums like this can't hurt.
