The only Bika fight I'd support being sanctioned now is Bika vs. Dib. :yep It'd be like when the government officials in Tokyo would enlist Godzilla's aid to destroy a greater evil.
A bit late I know - but just watched this fight. Looks to me like Bika has his eyes only on mendys head and left knee aand he is not really looking at the big picture. Yeah he pauses once mendy is down- I guess waiting for the ref to start the count - if you slow it down at this point Mendy has his right knee hovering ABOVE the canvas and not on it. Bika takes the shot but before it connects Mendys knee has dropped. Definitily worthy of a DQ as thems the rules - BUT - dont be so hard on Bika - this may not have been an intentional foul. Mendy gets a shot at Bute - he deserves it anyway bika already had a chance. Id like to see bika enter the super 6.
Dirrell is out of the s6 so maybe bika finally gets a call up? Its burst at the seems...3 of the 6 fighters have pulled out now.
I agree with much of what you say. Slowed down, frame by frame, it is not conclusive that what Bika did was worthy of a DQ. No angle that I've seen shows Mendy's knee on the canvas as Bika winds up to hit him again. The ref was slow getting in and giving instructions.
