Apparently Amir got the idea to let Asif do the ring entrance with him after watching some WWE.

    Warren blasts 'unfair' agenda
    (UKPA) – 3 hours ago
Promoter Frank Warren believes there is an "unfair" agenda being pursued against Amir Khan after the WBA light-welterweight champion said he would be a bigger star if he was white.
Khan, who defends his title against American Dmitriy Salita in Newcastle tonight, told journalists on Thursday: "I know if, maybe, I was a white English fighter, I would be a superstar in Britain."
However, furious Warren has slammed Khan's inquisitors, accusing them of "playing on his naivety" in the pursuit of headlines that he insists have no bearing on the reality of Khan's situation. "I'm really disappointed that people keep asking Amir these questions. We've managed to keep race and religion out of this fight and I find it offensive and sad," said Warren.
"People don't ask David Haye what it's like to be black. They don't ask Catholic fighters about the problems in Northern Ireland. When James DeGale got booed, they didn't put it down to racism.
"Amir is 22 and perhaps they are playing on his naivety. It must play on Amir's mind - why are people asking me this all the time? It's totally unfair on Amir, and it is very disappointing."
Khan's father Shah has already distanced himself from his son's comments, telling BBC Radio Five Live: "I don't agree with it to tell you the truth. I don't know why he made that comment."
Warren added: "Amir is a superstar. When he won the silver medal nine million people watched him. Nearly all the venues where he has fought have sold out. Amir is a great British fighter - end of story."
Former IBO welterweight champion Jawaid Khaliq, who was one of the country's most prominent Asian boxers, said he understood why Khan might believe racism to be an issue.
Khaliq, who became a hero in Nottingham's Pakistani community and now runs a boxing gym in the city, said: "When I didn't get the big fights in the US I was hoping for I did start to wonder what was holding me back. Of course you get the remarks and the criticism from people who are mostly jealous because of who you are. I think there's an element of racism throughout sport and it's nothing unique to boxing.
"But the bottom line is if you're good enough you can still pull through. Amir's done exceptionally well, he's united the whole country behind him since the Olympics and he's a fantastic role model for Asian sport."

Read it on the khan forum when several of us at eastside joined for a good laugh. If my memory serves me right it was some muslim lad who fancied himself as a local hard man and he had been to prison for drug offences. They even named the tit on the khan forum.

JT was booted off by the khan forums racist moderator because he used a avatar picture of a Sikh wearing a turban. Don't think JT had even posted on the site.

The rest of us were also kicked off for bigging up khan on his own forum.

So where the **** is the suggestion of racism to that?

We know that wankers will kick off with boxers to try and prove a stupid point or just because they lost money on a bet.

Right here, many years ago, Chris Eubank came to a local gym and he had loads of pricks offering him out, thinking they can big up their street cred, not considering for a second that if Eubank was stupid enough to accept, they would be shortly lying in a coma.

This is the town where Ricky Hatton is from/lives. He is loved by everyone here but that didn't stop a couple of pricks trying to kick off with him after the Pac fight. Accusing him of being **** and not trying etc.

Anyone in the public eye is going to get equal amounts of shite and glory from the street, especially boxers.

Tyson can barely go out without someone wanting to fight him!

EDIT: And if it's true what Kurt said, that the attacker was Muslim, then...

I don't think so, he's probably disseminating to 20 of his friends that Khan doesn't give autograph's to kids with cerebral palsy who queued 2 hours.

Really? I went on there for a laugh last year and one of the rules was something like "Criticism of Amir is completely unacceptable and will result in a warning or even a banning if the criticism is hurtful" I swear I thought my eyes were playing ****ing tricks on me. I think the forum is moderated by his cousin or something.

Its a truism that people levitate towards others who hold the same values...you don't find anyone who is racist towards Khan in your discussions because you don't move in the circles were racism is acceptable.

If you want to see the racist bile that Khan attracts just find yourself a stream tonight with a chat facility showing and watch the vermin come out of their holes and spout some of the worst **** that I have ever seen...it truly is disgusting. The sad thing is that these people are obviously boxing fans otherwise they wouldn't be watching the fight in the first place.
