Zab disapointed me. And Al Bernstien DKSAB. He sounds like he's selling curtins. He claimed the kd in round 2 a 'tricky one' to call when it was clear as day it was a legit kd.
It's pretty simple. Zab got a little frustrated early on with Paulie's constant feints and his own inability to land the left. The cut made him tentative for the remainder of the fight. The rest is history. War Paulie.
Zab was in sparring mode all night. He was laughing while his corner was going hysterical, begging him to step it the fck up.
Ah hell, who knows. Maybe he and Paulie made an agreement before the fight. I don't think the cut had anything to do with the outcome. They both have been fighting too long to worry about a cut. I think Zab just mailed it in .
Really expected a big KO win from Zab after the Garcia performance. I was very disappointed in Zab. I'm a fan of both fighters, but a bigger fan of Zab. That Garcia fight took something out of him, and hes not used to being the slower fighter, Paulie fought a great fight. I felt the knockdown was legit, I thought Zab was going to press the advantage even though Paulie wasn't hurt. I had it closer than Showtime, Paulie by 2 or 3. Zab didn't have that look in his eye. He should call it quits imo, goes from arguably his best performance in defeat against Garcia to perhaps his worst performance considering the stage of his career. Hate to say Ive been a fan for years, Zab is officially "Shot to Sh*t"
MAybe having his dad back in the corner wasn't a good idea. looked like he mentally checked out. He had that Roy Jones/Big Roy vs Tarver III look on his face at times.
