The USBA is linked to the IBF while as the NABF is operating within the WBC. I understand this an eliminator for a top WBC ranking rather than a fight for regional title...
Would be the same thing like McCline-Ruiz. Don King tells that the McCline-Mollo fight is an eliminator, but the winner wont make a major step in the WBC rankings.
Why does Don King always produce such boring and terrible heavyweights? McCline is the modern day Tony Tucker.. a lot of athletic talent and power, but little desire, and lacking stamina. Mollo can hit but is extremely limited and his stamina is even worse; 40 year old, slow Golota was destroying him in a fight that could've been stopped if not for all the holding by Mollo that was allowed. Golota, even moreso than others, has a shitload of talent but is old now and still fragile ... John Ruiz..... well, i guess i don't have to explain that one, though he's become more of a normal, watchable fighter these days.

I think that this is "internal" DK eliminator for the next PPV event ... so the winner of McCline-Mollo will have shot at Williamson next.
