WTH Itauma v Whyte is on PPV?

I was just about to subscribe to DAZN and then saw this fight was set to PPV in Japan.

Itauma has one win over a, what?, a top 100 guy in McKean.
Whyte hasn't had a decent win since Franklin end of 2022.

And this is the fight that is headlining a PPV?!

Can't argue with this. I already have a subscription paid for that has a few months left to run yet so it's 20 bucks...agree it's ****ed up but I'll likely pony up.

There was a rumor here recently that Da Sheeki is going to buy DAZN and abolish PPVs soon. Something like that. If that happens before my subscription runs out I'll stay with it, if not, that will be it for me.

 

Tbf you're also getting Ball-Goodman and Hrg-Adeleye ...but yeah.

 

The Whyte fight definitely isn’t PPV worthy but I’d definitely pay to watch Hrgovic knock this clown out! So don’t really have a problem with it

Whyte looks so old and small at face off. He probably isn't using steroids anymore.

I don't think he even trained for this fight. He will definitely take a dive and get knocked out in early rounds.

 

I bought the PPV, Ball-Goodman and Adeleye-Hrgovic are interesting fights.

But I agree with the OP, there definitely should have been one more decent matchup on the card. This should be on regular DAZN, not PPV.

 

I paid for the PPV because I love the sport and I have no problem paying for something I love and enjoy, even if the card won't be world-class, but that's how it is, we love the sport...

 

Im ok with british heavyweights on ppv. Never fails to be a good fight.

get a descrambler, no sport is worth a subscription, boxing being the least.

 

I'm honestly pretty irritated that this fight is 10 rounds.

The whole time I thought it was 12 rounds!!! Hence made me confident in Whyte to beat Itauma, I still am but not as much after finding out it is 10 rounds.

Why is it 10 rounds though? Pathetic really. Like wtf? Thought this was for the interim WBO? Still should be 12 nevertheless.

 

Oh really? I thought it was a 12 rounder too. I must admit though that I was a little surprised this was a 12 rounder as I knew there was nothing on the line as such. But I had been listening to some break downs on youtube and it being 12 rounds kept coming up.
