Pavlik has fought as low as 147, and as high as 170. I don't think the weight is an issue.

He Is Indeed, he's mostly agressive and 6ft 2 so thats how he wins. He was slow In the Taylor rematch and stiff, fail to see how that was a win for him.

    Calzaghe will splatter Pavlik easily.

One serious problem that Joe presents Pavlik is the fact that he is southpaw, how will Pavlik's jab work agianst Calzaghe, not to mention Calzaghe is good at taking away the jab. There still is that right hand though. Pavlik is far from Lacey, comparing the two is like comparing Wlad to Tyson, it just doesn't work.

If this was 3 or 4 years ago Calzaghe would stop Pavlik in 4 or 5.

Now Joe is way past his best but I still feel he can potentially stop Pavlik late on or certainly win by UD.

I wouldn't go as far to say Pavlik as no chance though, he does have a chance should Calzaghe get careless but ultimately he's way too skilled, way too versatle and adaptable for anything Pavlik can throw at him.

Slappy will be KOed by Pavlik's left hook.

Pavlik will stun slappy with the straight right lead but that left hook will cause Enzo to make brown lasagna in his pants when he sees what it does to his bambino. :happy

I think Joe wins this fight by comfortable decision.

This is really just a Britain vs America thread as you'd expect.

It's always the same, it was like this when Hatton fought recently all the yanks were jumping on the anti-hatton bandwagon!

Can't believe how many Pavlik fans there are on here now, seems to have increased since the potential Calzaghe vs Pavlik fight was mentioned!!

In any case another yank will soon get spanked! There goes another great white hope!

    Cymru am byth!

This is a good thing toug. The more people who pick Pavlik to beat Calzaghe the better the win will be for Calzaghes legacy.

Kelly Pavlik is the perfect name for Joe to retire on, lets hope Lockett does the right thing and get knocked out!

    Pavlik by early brutal KO.
Now where for Calzaghe to hide.

If Calzaghe can avoid Pavlik's 1-2, then he has a chance on winning a decision. But I doubt that will happen, Pavlik will eventually find him. I don't think this is a smart move for Calzaghe to do towards the end of his career, there's a good chance that he will not retire undefeated if he fights Pavlik.
