    Absolutely.
Even though he wasn't as expeditive as he used to be at the lower classes.

You mean the same John Ruiz who had not had a KO in the 5 years previous to the Jones fight? Are you serious? John Ruiz is a power puncher now? Ruiz landed one punch on the upperchest area of Jones that was it. That fight was a farce Ruiz was just another handpicked Roy Jones opponent.

Jones got knocked out cold by feather fisted Glen Johnson.

Jones has a Glass Jaw period.

Oh I get it now.....so since Ruiz, who was a natural HW and fighting a natural SMW, had not had a KO in 5 years, he can't be considered a power puncher. But Jones not being KO'd in the first 15 years of his career counts for nothing when discussing his chin? Am I reading this right?

The man fought Hopkins, Toney, Tarver x3, Trinidad, Ruiz, Woods, Calzaghe(soon), Kelly, Gonzalez, Harding, Griffin x2, Hill and many others. Who are the guys you believe he ducked?, please mention them.

They ducked each other. That is not a one sided deal.

:huh Are you you being intentionally stupid?! Ruiz was a natural Heavyweight?! Jones started off at Middle?!?! And he definitely ate more than one shot from Ruiz on his allegedly "Glass Jaw". :patsch What a bell-end you are.

He was a talented fighter that won't be properly reflected through his legacy. That's all as far as I'm concerned.

Probably. It doesn't change the fact that he avoided him.
DM would have agreed to fight him if there was a deal to begin with.

According to Jones and HBO there was. But DM wanted the location to be in Germany and Jones turned it down. I don't call that avoiding, considering the context of the situation. Both believed they have claim and negotiating power.

Really ? I never heard of this...
Jones was considered by many as the best but he was a stubborn guy. He should have let his country pride aside, too damn bad.

There was an article that was quoted and posted here last year, but I am having no luck finding it.

Jones issue wasn't country pride. He said directly following his olympic robbery that he would never fight in a foreign country again. He mentioned later on a few time that he would love to fight in the UK, but always turned down offers that called for him to leave the country, or countered the offer by asking them to come here.
