    Floyd,Pac and maybe Hopkins are the only atg today. The others are HOF but not ATG worthy.

    IMO it`s Duran >= Leonard > Hearns >= Floyd >= Hagler

    Now this is p4p imo.

    Hearns and Duran have weaknesses that are apparent and easily manipulated. Hearns can't take a hard shot to the body or chin without going down. He has bad stamina over 12-15 rounds, he can be outfoxed he can be out fought, muscled. Duran has been beaten by many styles, boxers, punchers, brawlers, and defensive fighters.....Floyd to this day has shown none of these weaknesses. Haggler never moved up so he is not rated higher than Floyd, SRL who I respect greatly but dd cherry pick and fought more infrequently than Mayweather. At the same time he is diverse has beaten many styles but is not close to technical prowess of Mayweather. I think Floyd is a hell of a challenge for any of them 154 on down...

    Just curious.. How high is Margarito on any list? ATG, P4P, hell even just best WW list? He has to be pretty high to make Floyd's ATG status go up that much further than it already is.. How would Margarito do against Leonard, Duran, Haglar? If Floyd is hundreds of spots ahead of him, then it would be seen as another slow plodder on his resume.. Who cares how feared he supposedly was.. Being feared don't get you moved up in rankings...

    Pacquiao and Mayweather are ATGs, so is Hopkins. Marquez probably too. Those are the only current ATGs.

    You do realise that if all you do in a fight is avoid getting hit, you're unlikely to win the fight don't you? You need offense. you have to put pressure on the other fighter, etc. Floyd simply doesn't have the power to hurt SRL and SRL has the power to knock out Floyd. He's also fast enough, and cleaver enough to get this shots through Floyd's guard, even if he does it only occasionally he would still win the fight based on what you've said. And Benitez defense isn't far off from Floyds and Benitez is a bigger fighter than Floyd.

    Long story short you really have no idea WTF you're talking about.

    Beautifully Said .

    Certain People always think his defense alone is enough to win a fight .

    Defense will not win you a decision , Offense does .

    because duran faced guys he wasn't supposed to beat and beat them.

    it's easy when u can pick and choose your opposition. it's the new way. when has floyd not been the favorite? he could have taken on "impossible" challenges...he still can. i'd like to see him beat one of the belt holders at 160. then i will rank him above duran.

    that's one way to look at it.

    do u think floyd would have been favored to beat margarito when he challenged him?

    how about paul williams?

    or cotto when he had just beat shane mosley?

    floyd chose to 'retire' to avoid facing those challenges.

    edwin moses of boxing.
