Yarde only had like 10 amateur fights and they were all in middle school.

Old fish eyes seems too, any interview the subject of Yarde comes up he is always eager to point that out.

Care to explain what he learns or how he improves while continuing to fight trash?

    He did.

He had Burton vs Buglioni and also Johnson vs Buglioni

Johnson is now facing Beterbiev (another fight that Yarde turned down)

All promoters talk rubbish, it's their job to. I don't agree with rankings myself as I have already mentioned but I do agree with Yarde being bought along slowly with his limited amateur pedigree. Sure, I'm expecting him to step it up a bit in terms of competition in the next few fights but it is what it is and hopefully Yarde can get some more rounds in here.

@yesihavearm2 Sorry my comment was more directed at Buatsi. Surely Eddie would have an easier time of it trying to put Buatsi in with Burton/Buglioni instead of chasing Yarde. There's nothing in it for Yarde to take on Buatsi, and as I said earlier, it would be madness to chuck Yarde in with Beterbiev right now. I like Yarde but Beterbiev would hammer him and setting him up to get smashed to bits would be stupid on Warren's part. Johnson taking the fight is more due to the fact that he has little time to waste as he won't get many more opportunities like this due to his stop start career. I hope he goes well.

I think people are just frustrated that it seems like Yarde is avoiding the entire British circuit. Even Khan who had a smoke and mirrors career himself was involved in some domestic scraps on his way up.

They keep using his WBO #1 rank as some sort of justification, but then arrange fights outside of the top 30. I'm all for developing fighters but it just seems bizarre.

Good step up for Yarde. Never faced an Argentinian before I think.

No. Warren offered the Buglioni fight and Hearn turned it down saying £100k wasn't enough.

Your facts need to be better.

Urgh wish my boy would step up, and soon!

Watching Callum tonight shows just what being a physical specimen at the right age can do. Yarde is 27 but being matched like he is 21. His prime years could be slipping away here...

How low can Anthony Yarde go?

Just never under estimate how pitifully weak the opponents get, because there is no shame in this kind of matchmaking.

He will still be fighting complete bums in 3 years time I am sure of that
