Be worth more than 4 million plus a chance to get all the belts. No brainer.

I've slagged Yarde off plenty of times in the past, but if he went into a light heavyweight WBSS with the names mentioned then he'd get massive respect from me.

What a tournament if it comes off. The pragmatist in me wonders why they both couldn't enter the WBSS under the condition that Kovalev (who will likely be highly seeded) picks Yarde (who will likely be lowly seeded) as his first fight.

Actually a strong possibility that it’s being delayed to be the first fight of the tournament. Would help with any potential finance issues too if the WBSS stumped up some cash.

Agree but couldn’t imagine Yarde entering this. He’s gambling on Kovalev being shot. If he by some miracle wins. I could imagine he would want to hold that belt hostage for a few defences. Shefat isufi style.

No way he jumps in with the likes of Bivol

2 and a half months later those deep negotiations have finally caved in. It’s now down to purse bids. Would be a great fight at the o2. Frank should be able to get this fairly cheap. Wonder if Eddie will try and stick his orr in?

I expect Hearn to make a push.
Yarde won't like this one bit, as it isn't going to be a huge payday now.

He will probably withdraw from the mandatory position if Hearn was to win it. TopRank could also bid for it to be in the US.

    Probably.
From deep negotiations into deep doodoo. Let's hope it happens anyway or we will actually see a WBSS tournament at 175.

Hearns won't bid for it, he won't have the cash after Andy Ruiz empties his pockets for the rematch

I think Dazn would like this fight on their platform. Kovalev is a fairly big name in the States.

No chance mate - DAZN are fighting to keep the electric on, they are not bidding for a fight which has zero interest to the US audience and neither fighter is signed to them.

Very interesting, I think Frank will win the bid as he would look to stick it on PPV but Kovalev will then probably vacate and fight in the tournament or something.

I read on ******* that Frank wanted to put it on his July 13th card.

    Are BT's coffers that big?
