People are just upset that Floyd is better than Manny when Floyd is commonly considered Sven Ottke's *****.

Why Chavez Jr? You should have used Calzaghe as comparison. Calzaghe has 2 sure HOFs on his resume, but Mayweather has 3.

Over the past two years, all of a sudden, for some reason losses make the fans rank you higher both P4P and all time. Apparently losses can only do good for career assessments. Getting starched bad makes Linares a nobody and makes PWill disrespected to no end, but Pacquiao getting totaled twice in the 3rd is never spoken of and deemed irrelevant. His several close fights are never looked at in the same light similar circumstances for other fighters are. Time will tell. The nostalgia will be over and the ending written before we should waste our time arguing about legacy. However, you are plain silly if you believe being undefeated means nothing. And you are showing your lack of knowledge if you believe being an undefeated 3 year P4P king and 10 year top 10 P4P'er means nothing. Provide me some examples please.

    LMAO...

Don't know how you can make that statement considering the track record of the other guy who the thread starter mentioned(Pacquiao).

yeah man it's like they're giving him props for losing. Roy Jones was a sure fire top 25 atg before Tarver and he had just 1 DQ loss, but now all I hear is how his chin is crap.
If Sugar Ray Leonard was undefeated, I'd have him rated higher

Diego Corrales was 9 lbs heavier than Floyd and JLC was 12lbs heavier than Floyd in both fights. Genaro Hernandez is a better boxer than anyone Pac has ever fought JMM excluded and Pac lost both those bouts regardless of the decision. ODLH when he had skill left unlike when Manny fought him. so I think we got a lot of hateration goin on. Big difference between Money and JCCjr. But I think you know this.

Also, lets examine your argument further....

(1)Diego Corrales - Top 5 P4P fighter, top P4P power puncher, undefeated, in his prime and at his ideal weight when he fought Mayweather.

At his ideal division/weight when he fought Floyd? Yes
Shot at the time he fought Floyd? To the contrary, in his Prime.

(2)Genero Hernandez - The champion and pretty much at the peak of his career at the time he fought Mayweather. Fought Floyd at the same weight class he fought at for 3/4ths of his career.

At his ideal division/weight when he fought Floyd? Yes
Shot at the time he fought Floyd? Absolutely not.

(3)Arturo Gatti - By no means in his prime when he fought Floyd, but would the results have been any different? Some thought Floyd might lose thinking that Arturo was too big for him.

At his ideal division/weight when he fought Floyd? Yes
Shot at the time he fought Floyd? Was fresh off 2 KO victories.

(4)Jose Luis Castillo - May or may not be a hall of famer, but was very close to the prime of his career when he fought Mayweather. Fought Floyd at the same weight class he had fought at for majority of his career

At his ideal division/weight when he fought Floyd? Yes
Shot at the time he fought Floyd? Near the prime of his career.

(5)Ricky Hatton - May or may not be a hall of famer, but was an undefeated fighter at the PEAK of his career coming off defining wins against Kosta Tszyu and Jose Luis Castillo. He fought one prior fight at 147 pounds.

At his ideal division/weight when he fought Floyd? No
Shot at the time he fought Floyd? To the contrary, in his Prime.

(6)Oscar De La Hoya - Was coming of an impressive KO win against the hard-chinned Ricardo Mayorga in his previous fight. Mayweather went UP in weight to face him at 154, a weight Oscar had fought at for several years before unsucessfully testing the waters at middleweight.

At his ideal division/weight when he fought Floyd? Yes
Shot at the time he fought Floyd? Past his prime? Sure. Shot? Absolutely not.

(7)Shane Mosley - People argue Shane was 'washed up' when he fought Floyd, but thats hard to tell considering the DEVESTATING KO win over Antonio Margarito he was coming fresh off of. The Margarito fight was one that many argued would finally retire the Sugar man. Shane Mosley himself regards 147 as his ideal weight.

At his ideal division/weight when he fought Floyd? Yes
Shot at the time he fought Floyd? Past his prime? Sure. Shot? Absolutely not.

Soooo... who are the 'half' he didn't even in there weight divisions, or when they weren't shot?
