his accuracy rate increases as the fight goes on.

that is generally the case with all fighters. as fatigue sets in, you are more susceptible to getting hit. thats why later round ko's are more common.

    cmon. everyone know this.

Honestly, I watched the fight at a bar, so I couldn't tell what landed and what didn't; however, it did appear that Ortiz' straight left hand to the body was landing regularly, even if at times it was partially blocked.

What made it clear to me that Mayweather is almost impossible to beat is his level of conditioning because despite the regularity and the force of Ortiz' left straight to the body, Mayweather didn't appear to be phased by it.

But...I can't agree with the way it ended and perhaps Mayweather was looking for an easy way out.

Regardless, I can't see anybody out there who can beat Mayweather at this point, even Martinez.

not really. floyd is really accurate even when starting. yes floyd is winning them rounds but aside from round 3, floyd never dominated the other rounds that much. even round 4, floyd was off to a good start but ortiz still caught him twice with some flurries and was backed to the ropes. of course floyd was starting to get in control but he was getting tagged by a slower fighter in ortiz.

it's still a dominating win but not the way i expected. i rank the mosley win as the more impressive performance even if he got caught in round 2.

People who think Floyd was slow and old looking in the Ortiz fight must have had a few too many beers or just generally hate the guy. Floyd never got out of 1st gear as i think he quickly realised he didn't need too. Ortiz was disheartened with Mayweathers speed and success with the right hand very early on in the fight.

Even though Ortiz managed to back Floyd up, he was never in any trouble and was fully in control and relaxed. Just a shame the fight ended the way it did as we seemed to be seeing mayweather throwing quick combinations and actually going for the Knockout.

People that are still wetting their pants over the way the fight was finished seem to quickly forget the intentional headbutt Ortiz committed seconds before. If someone headbutts me im going to smack them round the head weather they apologise or not. Bad way to win a fight but its the real world, Ortiz didn't seem to complain too much!!

Pac was a WW for 2 and half years when he fought MOsley.
Floyd and Mosley were about the same size for most of their careers.
Again, blame Mosley for something you think Mayweather said in 1999, but that doesn't explain why it took 11 more years for him to actually get in the ring.
You guys can't even keep your stupid rationalizations straight.
If Mosley was the only one Flloyd avoided all these years, you'd have a point, but when you add the 8 or 10 other guys he managed to stay away from, you start to see Floyd is the real reason those fights didn't happen.

It's not like we're talking about some great skilled fighter that Mayweather cannot beat it's Pacquio who is all heart throws inaccurate puches. Mayweather of Saturday night would have toyed with Pacquiao. Mayweather is just to skill for Pacquiao.

If Mayweather believed that, they would have already fought.

    lmfao......uuuuu:huh

    Yea check the stats Pugi...

Try to realize that alot of those punches were missing and were touching Floyds mit...

That shoulder roll can be deceiving...

Floyd outlanded Victor in power punches more than 2-1 bro and in total punches as well....

Floyd was getting stronger too...CHECK THE FIRST 30-35 SECONDS OF THE 4TH ROUND...

FLOYDS RIGHT HAND WAS GETTING MORE AND MORE ACCURATE TOO...IF ANYTHING, THIS POINTED TO ANOTHER MAYWEATHER TYPE PERFORMANCE...

TOO ADD TO IT, I'LL SAY THAT FLOYD WAS CONTROLLING THE TEMPO OF THE FIGHT TOO:deal
