Unfortunaly all Haye fanatics are going to go overboard when Haye beats Barrett (because he will Barrett, every decent man he's faced beat him, not to mention Wlad bouncing him off the floor like a basketball back when Barrett was young and sort of promising). Everyone is going to run around telling everyone how great Haye is and how he'll destroy the whole top 10 on one night knocking them out one by one. Sad, really!
most of cats opponants try and blast him out early as most were assured he had a weak chin...i dont think thompson was chinny in the way of other fighters but he certtainly got rocked on a few occasions. but he had heart and stamina on his side in almost all his fights so it kind worked for him. eubank almost did the same as haye when he tried to blast him out and gassed out trying to catch him and got busted up in the later rounds. rothmann was the same the only guy who didnt was nelson who was a very very very negative fighter and left no room for error. so he didnt get hit by a thompson counter or pass out form beating him badly.
why not? vitali beat peter a guy who im sure wont get back into the rankings. yet we already know that he is the best heavyweight in the planet.atsch it depends what haye does with him if david outboxes him and can outmuscle monte then he has proven he can fight with heavy's...not stay away and potshot which most smaller men do ala hide. it will prolly be like when gamboa koed seegar. we knew seeger wasnt A class but it was more of a test of how good will gamboa look agaisnt an awkward opponant. he bulldozed him.
not to talk about him getting knocked down by SMW Lolenga Mock... but that was a long time ago, let's just wait and see. I don't have high expectations on Haye, but maybe we're in for a nice surprise.
