I think Sauerland would rather want to get the other title holders on contract too, or get someone to beat them first. Maybe even unification like they tried with Huck - Wlodarzcyk.

Troy Ross made a deal with Sauerland I know (First fight was the one with Rukiewiecz, then the one against YPH) But I dunno if they have him for more.

That would imply that they do still have Ross under contract, but now Hernandez is fighting Eric Fields in February. Too bad.

Lets hope that Ross at least gets a crack at another titleholder.

 

I disagree.

In the 4th, Ross landed one good punch, and Hernandez wisely took a knee. It wasn't a "true" KD, and Hernandez totally dominated the rest of the round.

Ross had a few more small moments, but over the entire fight he actually landed very few punches. Hernandez's defensive foot speed was too much for him. Hernandez, on the other hand, landed plenty of solid shots. He clearly won the fight.

Well in that case I seriously question your judgement.

That was as real as a knockdown gets. Hernandez got hurt with with a punch and went down. Period.

He then took another knee because he was still hurt. Lucky he didn't lose a point there. He also turned his damn back while getting punched in the same round with should have been a counted at the very least as ANOTHER knockdown. The ref literally rescued him there if you look, which I'm not sure what is the proper thing to do when a boxer turns his back while getting pounded with hard punches. In the contender finale, that scored Ross a knockout win. The ref was doing Hernandez a lot of favors in that fight, including letting him hold throughout the fight.

And ya it wasn't all one way action, but the was no question Ross was better for me. At 37 years of age, this guy is truly an underrated phenom.
