Gutknecht is starting stronger, which he hadn't done in the first three rounds. Good activity, combos off the jab while drifting to his left to keep Uzelkov spinning and off his forward plodding rhythm. Gutknecht is picking away with his jab and some long fish-hook right uppercuts below the turtle shell. Uzelkov is rocked off balance while blocking 1-2. Uzelkov comes up off his toes throwing a long left hook and doesn't get anything more than the tape below Gutknecht's wrist. Gutknecht backs away and lands a jab, then slides forward to follow up with a straight right to the nose. Uzelkov waves out a jab and teeters on one foot almost colliding into the ropes as Gutknecht disappears from view with a quick lateral move.

Round 5

Long pestering jabs by Gutknecht, on the balls of his feet and keeping Uzelkov at bay. Uzelkov ducks away and turns his head as Gutknecht drapes a long right hand across the gap and taps the back of his neck. Uzelkov is still just throwing one at a time and not closing the distance with his slower punches. Recipe for disaster. Gutknecht drills him with a very solid right hand to the belly. Uzelkov leaps in with one of those left hooks, this one low and aimed behind the ribs. Gutknecht checks it with his right arm dropped down quickly to meet it while backing out to get the superior foot positioning he has maintained throughout. Uzelkov's balance is just horrible. He keeps stumbling and tottering whenever he throws or blocks. Gutknecht hops away and turns his thumbs in against his cheeks to catch Uzelkov's lunging jabs on the thickest part of the padding. Gutknecht jabs and strings his left arm around Uzelkov's neck to pull him in tight.
