I think Khan would win every round. Prescott is rubbish. If Mitchell can easily outbox him without getting knocked out then I don't see why Amir can't this time around.
Devon at 147 or if Broner beats Paulies and vacates the WbA he could fight for the vacant WBA title vs Thurman/Chaves/Maidana/Lopez. He should stay away from Garcia or Matthysse.
Would try somehow swindle him in for a mayweather bout. If that iscrejected by showtime and the public - which you would think it would be - i would then gun for the following: Peterson - even when he was in his backyard, had a favourable referee, had soneone sitting next to the guy collecting the scores and was juiced up to the eyeballs - khan still won more rounds against him. Peterson not known as a puncher, even though this new khan looks more vulnerable now then he did during the roach era. If peterson fight can't happen, i'd just skip right on to 147, and try get either ortiz or berto who seem like gatekeepers to the king prize of mayweather. Both berto or ortiz can punch, so khan could be put down in these fights, but you'd expect him to cause them issues too. Berto would be the more dangerous for khan as Ortiz could fall apart mentally at any moment, even though ortiz probably punches harder. If none of these can happen, maybe fight guerrero for the mayweather option. Knowing khan stubborness and ego, i know he will be gunning for Garcia, and if garcia gets past matthysse/peterson, you can safely say he is going to be on the up and would relish facing khan, who has neither the power of matthysse or his toughness. Khan also appears to be slower and is much less active under hunter. This route IMO is a complete disaster for khan. the only way I see him coming through against either Garcia or Matthysse is if somehow, a switch comes on and everything hunter has taught him suddenly becomes natural and he fights the perfect fight. Based on previous history and what we know about khan mental strength, this is very unlikely to happen. If thats the case only khan big heart could sneak him through, basically he avoids getting hit, sneaks the rounds in while the other guy is gunning for the ko and when he eventually does get tagged late, he runs, hold and just survives to the final bell. As a matchmake, Mayweather route is the most profitable, you can always avenge losses at 147.
If the best matchmaker works on the theory maximum gain, against minimum loss, then logically Amir Khan needs to fight a big punching, big name. Because even if he lost, everyone would be expecting it anyway. So dream scenario would by Manny, reality is possibly GarciaII, a fight he can win IMO.
Win against a couple of scrubs and just ****ing chuck him in with Mayweather in May next year. Cash him out
I'd have him in against Garcia next. Garcia didn't look great at all against Zab and tiered really badly in the last three rounds. All Garcia would be looking for would be big left hooks , surly Hunter could build a defence for that. I thought Khans defence was shocking on Saturday the worst I've seen. He was wide open for everything. Not at all what I was expecting. I still think Khan is the bet boxer at 140.
Do me a favour mate? Wouldn't have Khan in the top 5 nevermind the best. Don't know what your smoking there. Garcia, Mathysse, Marquez, Rios and Alvarado would all viciously KO Khan , Peterson would probably do him once again aswell.
Just throw him in there with garcia. If he loses then call it a day. If he somehow wins, Khan gets another good fight and gbp can make the Peterson rematch which will generate some dough.
