I don't think so, it was an accident from Williams falling over that caused it. Hard to rule that a TKO, under the unified rules it'd be a NC. It's pretty obvious that he tripped over Williams, it was strange.. but it was caused by Williams pushing him back and falling over.
BULL****! Williams did not cause that fall. How was he the cause of Cintron actually going upward through the ropes when he was down. If anything they were both the cause, meaning it was accidental. And under unified rules, that would have been a TKO.
Marciano fought with his nose split in two, Sebastian Andres Lujan fought with his ear hanging off, and Cotto fought through a hideous gash after an accidental headbutt with Clottey, and Arthur Abraham battled his way to a victory with a broken jaw. This guy fell out of the ring on a table and then rolled onto the floor in what appeared to be a horrendous injury. The ******* was acting as if he broke his back or something. Hell, they taped his head to the stretcher as if he just got struck by a bus. Then he's in the hotel lobby a few hours later giving an interview all fine and dandy saying he was perfectly fine and that he wanted to fight but the doctor wouldn't let him??? Given Cintron's history of bitching his way out of things, I'm inclined to think he overreacted and made a big deal out of nothing. He cheated LukeO out of $450 and I'd be pissed if I paid $450 to watch Bitchron on the floor acting like he's paralyzed.
I thought Cintron was winning the fight ( I am not saying he would have won as there was still along way to go ) but I had him 3-0 up ? And Williams was hurt just before the incident so I find it hard to believe that Cintron dived out ? As far as the rules go well what an almighty **** up
I had Cintron winning too...that's another reason why I was so pissed. Then when Williams got the win, I was laughing that Cintron's crying backfired on him. The best part was when he punched the ambulance door :rofl:rofl:rofl
This is also what Kevin Iole says If the unified rules had been in place, it would have been a TKO for Williams. It would only be a no contest had Cintron been unable to continue due to a foul. There was no foul in this case. Cintron inadvertently fell out of the ring, so it couldn’t have been a no contest under unified rules.
So why is he trying to make it seem like he was right there as if Kermit fell on his lap, you dont have the same view of the TV monitors where your seated to be honest the peopl eat home and where Kermit landed had the best view better than you or Luke O. Truth is, I beleive Cintron, the way he did fly out of the ring, I do not doubt that he had the wind knocked out of him or that he hurt his shoulder.... you dont prepair for that during your training... and if he just looked for a way out of the fight, why is he publicly asking for a rematch?
I'm really inclined to agree with you on this. I have never said that Kermit dove out the ring or faked his injuries. I really like the dude and I think he just had a freak accident that was handled a little over-cautiously. But you can't blame Williams for that ****. He by no means grabbed Cintron and caused him to fly out of the ring (missing the ropes entirely).
I saw an MMA fight where the fighter thought his answers would by him more time. He didn't understand doctors play by their own rules and stopped the fight. IF the ringside doctor is telling the truth, this may be what happened here. I watched it again and it looks like the doctor was there pretty quick and had a hand on him to keep him down right from the beginning though. It never looks he never even attempted to sit him up and evaluate him.
