You know Bernard is gonna fight Kovalev just like Mayweather, but will get praise

    Interesting how you guys get down...

    A little holding is what fighters do, espcially if you know there good on the inside and dangerous. How else is bernard supposed to fight Kovalev?? But when he wins you guys gonna praise the hell out of him but hate Floyd? I dont get it...Im gonna praise bernard because hes a beast and did what he had to do to win. not hate on his style or how he took away his opponent's advantage on the inside

    It will be a similar fight. Bernard will have a ref to help him, and he'll pretend to be fouled like Floyd did last night.

    But Hopkins is even dirtier than Floyd, he'll attempt to cut Kovalev with a head butt, as he did to Dawson, Cloud, Wright, etc.

    Maybe yes maybe not but stats say they both have an 85%+ KO percenatge

    The difference, I think, is Bernard does a hell of a lot more work when on the inside and in clinches than Floyd does.

    Two reasons:

    1) Kovalev is considered like more dangerous opponent and harder hitter than Maidana, and rightfully so

    2) Main reason - Hopkins is 50 y.o. If Floyd would be beating the likes of Maidana at 50, he will be getting praise just like Bernard.

    Kovalev's punching power is frightening Maidana's is decent, Maidana couldn't stop Khan or Broner no matter how hard he tried, Kovalev stopped Cleverly and Campillo with incredible ease who aren't cream puffs. Stopped Boone far quicker than Stevenson as well.

    Kovalev has a far higher ring IQ the Maidana ever will. Kovalev will destroy the old man's body in the first 3 to 4 rounds before he can adjust, Kovalev is far from one dimensional.
