Why do you feel the need to keep repeating these pathetic excuses? Spence is legit, deal with it.

Come on guys, stop trying to rationalize Brooks loss. The GGG fight didn't last but five rounds and he won two of those. It wasn't like he was getting beat down five rounds straight. As for weight, he walks around at 165 or 170. It wasn't like he had to go through a bunch of drama to get to 160. He has been coming down to 147 from that weight so I don't see that as being the issue. He just simply fought a younger man with skills on par with his and a bigger reservoir of energy.

Negitive! G didn't really put a serious hurting on him! Jacobs didn't get put to sleep, the psychology won't be there. Physically he didn't get abused either. He was never broken, so I don't really get how he could have been ruined. If the Pirog KO didn't ruin him then what little damage G inflicted on him will have zero negitive effect on him.

Anyone can tell that Golovkin did damage Brook, I felt that before the fight............not only the beating, but the weight gain and loss.....................Thurman will beat Spence, Porter will also.....................let Spence fight Golovkin and see what it does to him...............

Brook didn't dominate the first 6 I don't know you but I respectively disagree. Brook won only 2 or 3 at best of the first 6 he was getting out worked and was taking punishment.

Fair enough but whether fighting GGG had an effect on him is irrelevant Spence went to his home town and beat him. And according to a post in this thread 2 judges had it 58-56 and 1 had it 57-57.

So dominating might of been overstating it a bit on my behalf.

Kell Brook was 30 years old when GGG (a naturally larger, bigger, stronger and tougher man) gave him a physical ass kicking. To the point where his trainer was like it's just too much punishment being absorbed. Had it gone just a few rounds more Brook may have been completely finished by GGG.

I'm not saying that Brook was shot in the Spence fight, but the combination of the weight cut and him being on the wrong side of 30 after taking a beatdown from GGG means it's likely that he left a part of him that night with GGG that he never regained.

Fighters can completely recover after a war and stay prime. But it's almost always fighers under 30 years old who can do that.

Pacquiao recovered for example from the Marquez I, Marquez II, Morales I wars because he was still a very young fighter. The first Marquez and Morales fights were particularly vicious. Especially the first Morales fight, Pacquiao took a huge amount of punishment that fight. But after the Cotto and Margarito wars he was without a doubt past it physically and not the same. Getting into wars after you turn 30 is a very bad idea for boxing longevity.
