Errrr for his first fight back maybe somebody like Teper, known for knocking out Price, Teper has lost a couple on the spin and Fury would dance rings around him on a bad day. Fury should look very good in a fight like this and will create a buzz about his comeback. Then maybe Molina, can punch a bit so represents some danger but not that much and once again comparisons to be made because Molina is a name that has been in with Wilder and Joshua Then Charles Martin, "King Charles Vs The Gypsy King" both are slightly crazy (in a good way) the build up would be very entertaining and that gets the AJ fight talked about, comparisons will be made. You could switch the second and third around, I'm happy either way.
I'm not against the Price fight as a tune up for the AJ fight, but then I thought what if Price lands a big shot on an out of shape rusty Fury and then becomes the lineal heavyweight champion of the world! That's a scary thought...
Why 3 tune up fights? Really pisses me off all this stay busy/ring rust shite It's not been that long that he's been out of the ring and he's not had a loss, he just needs to get in shape and get some good sparring in. Just annoys me when someone says they are coming for there old belt, I'm still the champ! And then has 3 tune up fights wtf??
1 knockover job and then someone from 10-20 in the British rankings in quick succession. If he blows through those without a hitch and doesn't look a spent force then onto someone like Dave Allen or Manuel Charr. If he gets past them I'd put him in with Whyte or Takam on the same bill as Joshua. If he gets through them, and depending on how he looked doing it, I'd either make the AJ fight next or get him in with another opponent who'll take him rounds. That may seem like painfully slow progression back to where he was, but I dont think you come back from the place he's at without putting in the work under the lights. It took him a long time to do the damage, he's not going to just drop weight and be his old self without hard labour. I'd also keep him well clear of punchers. Two of Fury's best assets were his resilience and tenacity, if he gets sparked before he's back to some sort of semblance of his old self I could see it setting him back a lot further than it would've had he not gone off the rails. That's all assuming he's serious about his legacy, if he isn't then he needs to jump in with AJ straight off the bat, cash his cheque and call it a day.
Vitali was out of the ring for 4 years and then jumped straight back in with wbc champ at the time Samuel peter. He should take a leaf out of that mans book than having 3 tune up fights against nobodies
3 seems too many but I will play ball. Despite what Fury says, he can't have too much of a threat in his first fight back but Warren will want it to be someone kinda known. Someone said Teper above, that would be a good start. Or maybe Charr. Then Miller and then if he's still undefeated Ortiz.
Fury should get a list of opponents from Wilder, Wilder knows all the winos from the alley................he needs an easy first fight and Wilder is an expert on that....................
