People judging how good a fighter is based on a style. There is no "best" style that conquers all. Sure, styles do make fights, but mostly when they on the same level. A great brawler can be just as great as the slickest boxer. I personally like watching counterpunching it's to me the hardest art form, but I recognize when I see any other style you know when that fighter is special.
1)"cold war" promoters are supposed to promote. Boxers should have a say as it's the promoters who work for the boxers. Not the other way around. 2) "no governing body" there should be one put inplace for the respect of the fans. The best should fight the best. 3)"Ped experts". This should be self explanatory. I understand you may not be a fan, but people go out of there way to down a boxer. 4)"catch weights" not really a pet peev but it would be better with out them, would stop the people who ***** about it. 5)"Robberies" this should be fixed with a governing body.
bad referee one that trys to pull the fighters arms down when there tied up or wen a fighter has hair all in his face an he keeps having to move it out of eyes every 5 seconds and get caught often cuz of it. i mean u dont cut ur dang hair before the fight come on. or wen a fighters trunks dont fit. for example sergio martinez vs cotto last weekend. sergios pants didnt fit. come on dude its the biggest fight of ur life dont u try that **** on n make sure it fits. theres always an announcer or 2 that is being extremely annoying the best not fightin the best. lots of belts ppv and i hate wen fight start super late i work at 545 all the time on sunday morning. but its still my fav sport nothin better
1.Mayweather 2.Broner 3.Their fans 4.Guys who think Tyson would destroy Ali. 5.Hype train 6.Biased commentators 7.Idiot judges 8.Criminals in my favorite sport 9.Those mma fans who are always telling me boxing is dying. 10.The lack of subtitles for international bouts. 11.Mismatches 12.Cheaters
EDIT: Duplicate... But I will list another: When a fighter gets "injured during the bout" when it seems suspect that the injury likely occurred before. Biggest obvious recent example would be Ricky Burns TKO1 Nicky Cook via broken back (?)... "It was spinal" might have been appropriate there.
-As far as the aspect of discussing or following boxing with fellow fans, my biggest complaint is those that cannot separate POTENTIAL from ACTUAL ACCOMPLISHMENT.
The orgs forcing champions to fight mandatories that do not deserve to be in the top ten, 20, 30 etc., such as Wilder ranked #1 WBC without fighting anyone even nearly ranked..............the best should be forced to fight the best, but it rarely happens, such as Pac Vs. Void.............
-Four governing bodies. There should only be one world champ. -Picking opponents. What other sport lets you pick your next opponent? The organisation should mandate that 1 fights 2, 3 fights 4, etc. -Why isn't the ring always the same size? -Why aren't the judges/ref always 'neutral' and appointed independently. Why are **** judges allowed to continue judging? -More objective and properly spelled out scoring criteria. -Judges don't seem willing to score rounds even. You often hear people say 'it could have gone either way'. Well if it was that close score it a ****ing draw. -Lack of proper drug testing. -Promoters have too much power. They should work for the organisation. -Boxing lisences handed out to fighters who clearly shouldn't be fighting e.g. James Toney. It's criminal that they let guys punish themselves, potentially kill themselves, just for a bit of cash. -
TKO6 and any fanboy justification of the Klitschko bros 'greatness', especially where the mention the % of rounds won and how Vitali only lost fights by injury so never really lost a fight. Mayweather vs Pacquiao. Will they ever fight? I don't care, I long since lost interest in this fight and the endless arguments over who ducked who when. PEDs. Please can everyone stop with the incessant accusations? Not all boxers take drugs, every boxer who steps up a weight class and knocks someone out is not 'roided to the gills. Scott Gilfoid. That is all for now...
