i know!!! im not a bookie ,i dont want anyones money...all i wanted was an educated guess ...1 guess and why? then after the fight we will see who picked closest ,it is very easy... Brixton Bomber takes top prize though ,he picked them both to win.... the DRAW????:think
Sky Asking the Smith brothers for their prediction was like asking Dave Coldwell for his. And asking Jim Watt, you would get a better prediction asking the 'Zoltan speaks' fortune teller from the movie Big.
I will go for Cleverly by decision, simply because I think his work rate might be the difference. I think it will be rather cagey for long periods, both fighters have said it is huge for them in terms of career so I do not see either coming out reckless with all guns blazing. Bellew lost his mind before the first fight and didn't come out swinging so why would it be different now. Cleverly must have learnt from the Kovalev fight and is not a huge puncher and Bellew in the past has bored his way to the late rounds with what he considers a "master class" of jabbing. The first fight was rather boring and seemed more intense before hand, this feels a little too staged and Bellew mouthing off is standard these days. I hope im wrong, I hope you all enjoy a cracking fight but I just can't see it being a mini classic.
If work rate is the difference, Bellew is getting stopped. His stamina at CW is shocking. Ok, he can go the full 12, but he takes way too many breathers doing so. Doing that against someone with the work rate of Clev is the worst thing you can do. Although Nathan's work rate has seemed to slow down with the move up, it'll still be too much for Bellew.
I think Bellew will stop him at some stage. Bellew, amongst all the jive, has nailed a few things in terms of Clev not being as active at Cruiserweight, and the slower pace will suit his methodical style, with more power to make the difference as well. Bellew is putting his punches together alot better for me at Cruiser and should have alot of success. Only caveat is if Clev recaptures light-heavy volume and his chin stands up Bellew's punches. He could then come strong and smother a lethargic Bellew who likes to work at a slower pace.
