Gatti v Ward round 9. Steward was on fire the whole fight, but his take on the 9th was my personal favorite! Passionate.

"OH MY GAWWWWWD" during the berto vs Ortiz fight

Also used to be amused at how visibly annoyed he'd get at Lampley

As a commentator, it was probably Toney-Jirov or Gatti-Ward 3. The guy LOVED the sport. It was everything to him and that passion really came out during those moments.

"jorge linares is the greatest fighter i have ever seen"

"the fight went exactly as i thought it would"

hahaha in all seriousness though as dude above me mentioned during berto vs ortiz when he yells oh my god! I also love when he gets pissed off and gives wlad **** for being boring.

this is my thought too, among all the other things he did with all the other champions. He made Tommy Hearns what he was from the start. An amazing career. Somehow boxing will not be the same without him.

mine is more of a personal moment when i met him after a weigh-in
i went up to him, asked to autograph my mitts, which he gladly did
Then he just stood there in a corner while people actually went crazy over seeing freaking Max Kellerman
So I went up to him, asked him how he was doing and talked some boxing
I asked him why is that he chooses for his fighters to fight with the Right Hand (orthodox fighters) below their chin.
So i stood there with my stance, not even knowing if he would reply/talk to me
He then moved in, grabbed my hand and said "Your doing it all wrong son, you dont want your hand that low, move it up here" placing it directly on my chin
He then moved back and started maneuvering
He threw some punches and showed me how I'm supposed to defend myself and how I can counter
Me being this simple kid from Canada, who's only experience in boxing is going to my local gym
Going to vegas and meeting Mr. Steward is one of the highlights of my life
    Rest in Peace Manny
It was a pleasure meeting you
