I wrote this on that day - it sums it up well. 'Yup, he knew exactly what to do to Uchiyama. Body punch, sometimes left to the head whilst Uchiyama was coming forward. Uchiyama getting too close? Clinch. Throw the left to the head again, Uchiyama slips towards his right and tries to parry the punch, go straight in with a looping shot as Uchiyama tries to get back to centre line. Great movement around the ring to cause Uchiyama to be the follower, Uchiyama eventually is programmed into making the mistake of squaring up and throwing, with Corrales choosing to counter Uchiyama with a looping left. Corrales brilliantly switches to orthodox to throw another looping shot, and follows that up with an onslaught. The set up for the second knockdown was brilliant. Feint to the body, keeping head a little 'exposed' to mislead. Uchiyama commits, roll the shot and immediately counter with a beautiful hook. Some of Jezreel's punches look wild, but they are 100% to set up other shots. He feints the jab and Uchiyama is very reactive to the feint and gets closer to the ropes, Jezreel then throws a looping punch against the gloves in order to bait Uchiyama into committing to a punch so that Jezreel can immediately drive an answer to that with a power punch that Uchiyama hadn't prepared for.' http://www.boxingforum24.com/thread...shi-uchiyama-in-2.564460/page-3#post-17917179
Ah, good stuff, thank you. Do you think he'll pull a similar trick in the rematch, or is the 12 year youth advantage going to be too much regardless?
Charlo knockout and Lomanchecko toying around with people in the ring. He needs to move up to 140 or catchweight with someone from 140 because damn that'll get him some recognition.
The good stuff Alvarez knocking Khan out.. although in the moment I was fearful for Khan's life.. he looked dead on the canvas Hopkins getting KO'd in his farewell fight, good riddance. Whyte- Chisora - amazing fight, Frampton- Santa Cruz was really good too Lomachenko - just getting better with every fight .. the Martinez peformance was beautiful & MikeLazcano/Thatsright11 having a breakdown on here has to be a highlight lol the negatives Frampton - Quigg- got tickets was buzzing for it expecting a FOTY contender but it was a anti climax with a poor undercard too Povetkin-Wilder being cancelled at the last minute, was so hyped for that fight. the disapointing Tyson Fury situation Kovalev - Ward - biggest fight of the year... and woeful scoring from the judges like that Olympic Judging... - Tischenko- Levit in particular was disgusting
