Bit high for Concepion (in my opinion) and Wonjongkam schooled Sosa about a year ago.

Yes, I must say one of my bad recent predictions was "Sosa SD Wonjongkam." Add it to the very long list of quality victories Pong has.

I do think that Concepcion and Sosa deserve top 10 no question, only behind the same 6 guys generally accepted at the top, as well as Melindo.

Once Pong rematches and beats Jaro, then he can be number 1 again, but as of now he's just fighting guys who are fighting in their debut fight and guys with losing records.

    I agree...

...however with the recent RING lineal title rule changes, I have made the decision to no longer list divisions like Drew did above (not that it is wrong or anything).

For instance, Garcia doesn't get an automatic ranking over Matthysse because the RING claimed he was lineal champ, when Khan and Garcia were not the #1 and #2 fighters in the division when they fought.

I will always recognize the RING title, and specifically legit lineal ones such as Igarashi had from Wonjongkam, but it no longer gets a "C-" and top billing. The lineal champion very well could be worse than multiple contenders in the division, in this case I believe clearly below Viloria and Marquez.

True. They are hesitant to grab from each other. They prefer to have as many title holders as possible. Bad business move in Viloria's case.

Based on this weekend's performance do you think Marquez would be beaten by Mthalane and Igarashi?

imo, viloria should target igarashi first and get the lineal title before fighting roman gonzalez.

Not just based on the Viloria fight, but also since Concepcion II, his fights with Mepranum and Lumacad also led me to my safe pick of Viloria defeating him, and I think Mthalane would do the same, likely also by stoppage. Igarashi I have not seen enough of and at the moment, would have to pick Hernan on work rate.

Viloria has fought the best since his light fly days which is more than what you can say for the rest.

Viloria then a fair gap to moruti for 2nd place.

Viloria has just lost to Estrada in China on Shiming's debut card. I scored it to Estrada 116-112. Great fight. I had it even thru 8 but then Estrada swept the final four rounds. This shakes up the Flyweight division.

Igarashi defends his lineal title against Akira Yaegashi in the coming day as well. What do you think about that one?

How would you rank it now?

    Here's my top 5:
    1. Moruti Mthalane, 29-2, IBF
    2. Juan Estrada, 23-2, WBA and WBO
    3. Toshiyuki Igarashi, 17-1-1, Lineal and WBC
    4. Brian Viloria, 32-4
    5. Edgar Sosa, 48-7

Very tough between number 2 and 3. Estrada has seldom fought at flyweight, only Viloria as his notable victory, but it was a tremendous one. I think Mthalane is now the top fighter in the division. Sosa has a great resume to be honest. Great how he has managed to stay ranked and relevant for so long. Hernan Marquez is the next honorable mention.
