Your honest comparisons Kermit from last nights fight to this one...

Pretty sure that for at least a few of those guys you mention, Kermit was working with Emanuel Stewart, not Ronnie Shields.

You're right about the Martinez fight but Williams/Cintron...did you even see it? Williams fell and did a double leg on Cintron after eating shots to the chin over and over. That crap was williams fault because hes as mediocre as Cintron is.

 

he is obvious.ly just getting worn down. it happens to the best of them. ronnie shields is an excellent trainer though.

Are you sure that you've seen it? Sounds like you were flipping channels and thought it was all the same show.

 

Anything is possible. All I can say is when we went in Margaritos we observed the a bare fisted Margaritos hands being wrapped from beginning to end. There was nothing out of the ordinary. Tape, and gauze. That was all that was used.

 

What I saw was Kermit duck through the ropes, and push off his left foot to jump through the ropes, and into a perfect shoulder roll. I am pretty sure we are all aware of his ridiculously over the top behavior in other fights which mirror his display in the Williams fight.

 

In all honesty thank you for this insight, I am a Kermit Cintron fan, and I still root for him, I just for the life of me, don't know how or why his career went the direction it went.....Prior Margarito 1 it was like his was unstoppable, like a a locomotive unstoppable and then it was like he practically fizzled. I know the fact that he hasn't been the most active fighter out there has hindered him in one capacity or another but I had no idea...He had let his conditioning slip ..Thanks for the insight, and contributions.....

 

Meh. IF you like. I'm with you on the Martinez fight, the break down in the first Margarito fight but Williams was responsible for the fall. Anyone with eyes who doesn't have a dislike for Cintron really should be able to see it clear as day.

If you can't see Williams getting badly rocked by 3 consecutive shots, and then grabbing Cintron by the waist and twisting him into the ropes, I don't know what to say. I can get on board with Cintron breaking down when things aren't going his way in a fight, but he was a punch or two away from putting williams to sleep there. Boxing fans who say Cintron deliberately jumped head first onto the time keepers table I just think are foolish. Watch it in real time and you'd have to be a ****ing ****** to think he did that on purpose.

I'm not taking away from what you did for Cintron, I remember seeing him early on on shobox or espn and he looked like a toughman competitor. He definetly improved from his first few fights until he stopped working with your team but thats pretty much it. No need to trash world class trainers to make your point.

 

People who use the argument that "Cintron was having no trouble landing punches against Williams" fail to acknowledge that Cintron's perceived lead in the fight provided an incentive to fake an injury.

I'm not going to argue whether or not he jumped out of the ring on purpose (I think he did), but given Cintron's history of bitching out, it's obvious that he exaggerated the severity of the injury in order to get an easy win rather than take on Williams for another 8 rounds.

 

Where did you read that I trash talked Ronnie Shields. He did well with other guys, but terrible with Kermit. Kermit is not a volume puncher. Whatever they are doing with him is not working.
I also think that Kermits past theatrics n behavior in fights substantiates the opinion that he exaggerated that "fall" and there was an ulterior motive behind it.

This clip sums it up but most will still blame Cintron for what ever reason I dont know but it was clear to me that Williams spun him and their legs were also tied up as a result of that spin.

I was well off before boxing, and even more so now. Every time Kermit fights he proves the things I say to be absolutely correct. Just like when he "fell" out of the ring he immediately grabs his head only to later say he hurt his back and got the wind knocked out of him. LOL
