Your honest comparisons Kermit from last nights fight to this one...

im not angry at all. he is getting exactly what he deserves for the things he did to those that were good to him. he is a mockery of a successful boxer. i have moved on. i work with inner city kids that enjoy boxing, and appreciate someone giving them attention. it's much more enjoyable working with them then it ever was with Kermit.

 

Honestly I have doubts about how serious it was, But its not like Falling out of the ring like that wont injur....

believe me i understand where you are coming from... i was his biggest fan. he seemed like such a good person when i first met him, and his talent n potential was unlimited. unfortunately he makes it impossible to believe in him. i also understand why you may feel like I am full of it, or embellishing what I have said. Nobody wants to find out that believed in a POS. I certainly didn't. Unfortunately that is what he is.
Go back n watch the Reid fight. i watch it all the time. Reminds me what a good job we did, and how special he could have been.

 

Its for all the people (including Kermit) that blamed Marshall and I for his loss. For all the people that said he needed a "real trainer." The things that are wrong with Kermit have nothing to do with who trains him, and in all honesty if you look at him just based on physical performance... he is a long way gone from the destructive force he was against Reid.

 

I know he did you dirty, but seems like you're starting to obsess.

You said you have other boxers right (wasn't it you who said you have this new kid who has you excited about boxing again)? If so, then I suggest focusing on those guys and forget about Cintron. I think just about everybody agrees he sucks now.

 

Okay I understand you wanting to pat yourself on the back for the Reid fight, But lets keep it real Tackie who isnt much to write home about did the same damn thing okay maybe didnt put im on his ass but he did knock him stupid and Tackie lost to Ricky ****ing Hatton.... so really the reid win isnt something to claim victory in...

I hear ya... he really trashed Marshall and I in our local media, online, and in TV interviews. Blaming us for everything, and calling us amateurs. I just find it funny that as he has moved on to other "world class trainers" new managers, and a new "team" his in ring performances have become pathetic to the point that its comical. I find myself wondering what can he do to make himself look worse in the next fight. After the Martinez fight I thought to myself... "what could he possibly do to make himself look worse then he did against Martinez?" I thought no way could it get worse. wrong Wrong WRONG. jumps out of the ring against Williams to try and get the fight stopped because he thought he was ahead. WOW

 

Teddy Reid at 147 is a completely different fighter then Teddy Reid at 140. Our differences aside I would think that if you know anything about boxing then you would agree that sucking down to a an unhealthy weight diminishes a boxers ability to tale a punch, diminishes reflexes, and severely hampers there ability to get there punches off.
Look at Miguel Cotto. his punch resistance has noticeably increased since moving up in weight. So did Amir Khans. There are far to many people in these forums that only know about boxing based on what they see on TV. it's much different when you are on the inside of the boxing world. You are privy to much more information about fighters. Trust me when I tell you... going through a true 8 week training camp is an accomplishment in and of itself. Just getting through with out getting sick or injured. Peaking at the right time. dealing with the possibility over over training. Proper nutrition, and sleep patterns. Then dealing with regular life on top of all that.
Teddy Reid was one of the most dangerous 147 lb fighters there was at that time. There is nobody that really knows boxing that would tell you any different.

 

You make some good points but I am going to be honest with you and dont take this wrong, Reid by the time he moved up to 147 it was too little too late, had he made that move about three years prior perhaps he would have done better in the sport.
Sure he is and was always dangerous, but at the same time he is on the same level as a Vivian Harris, and honestly Harris has accomplished more than Reid has at this point.
you beat Teddy Reid not Tito Trinidad.... and the way you hype that win its as if you beat Tito....

he's always patting himself on the back saying he made kermit and how bad kermit looks now that he isnt training him anymore..

honestly i really doubt that he had much involvement in kermits training he probably is one of those guys that just carries the equipment and the bucket to the ring and acts like he's big time

anyways a professional boxing trainer wouldnt be continuously on a boxing forum trashing one of his former boxer just because he decided to go another route and hire somebody else, he has to be an impostor no self respecting professional trainer will keep doing that

also look at the fighters kermit was fighting before margarito, he was facing scrubs and just because he has lost once he raised the level of opposition saids more about kermit than it saids about the training he's receiving
