    I don't think Jimmy McLarnin is appreciated enough considering his resume.. Freddie Welsh also.. apart from Wilde & Fitz they are probably the GOATs of UK born fighters..

    He was of a type that was and remains unheralded, a steady, correct technician who could pop well enough to earn an opponent’s respect but not the excitement of the wider boxing world. A hero in his home country, his brilliance never translated into dollars. Crucially, he never boxed in America. His late rallies, man.

    Wlad at HW for sure he should be the favorite against any smaller man imo. At his best he was almost impossible to beat especially for most HW greats he's usually matched up against who are quite a bit smaller then him.
