Its amazing how this forum loves to Hype fighters. Brook goes from a man known for beating euro level fighters, gets called a ducker, hypejob etc to beating a man famous for stopping an old semi retired Malignaggi. He recently went life and death wth a man who has 7 losses and yet now he is top 5 welter. Maidana is a 2 weight world champ and was the man every ****er feared at 140 a few years back. He has some solid wins, Broner was rated top ten pfp when he beat him. Khan has solid wins and is a former 2 time unified champion, he beat Maidana when most said he wouldnt dare fight him. Yet you all rate Brook way ahead of them due to winning a split decision against an unproven fighter. So many fighters come and go and you all lap it up. Anyone remember Trout, Donaire, Juanma Lopez, Mike Jones, Bute of late?! The same Hype and attention was placed on these guys only for them to fade away. Brook has left it far too late IMO, i like him but lets see him in a fight with a guy his own size. A real WW, Bradley would eat him up even with his lack of Power. Even someone like Ortiz or Broner to see where he is at.
Interesting that you go on about hyped fighters yet you claim Maidana should be rated because he beat Broner who was in the pound for pound top 10 (and should've only been rated in the pound for pound top 10 by ******s). Porter had far more reason to based the hype on than Broner. At 147 he beat Paulie in far more convincing fashion than Broner, as well as Alexander who himself schooled Maidana.
Brook, Porter and Alexander all have 2nd best wins as good or better than that: Brook completely dominated top 10 rated Rafa Jacikeweiz Porter KO 4 Paulie Alexander schooled IBF champ Randall Bailey In fact in could be argued that those 3 wins are as good if not better than Maidana's best win.

Porter beat Malignaggi in a more convincing fashion than Cotto and Hatton, doesnt mean he is anywhere near those 2. I rate Maidana on his wins over Ortiz, at the time that was a huge win and most were shocked at the outcome. His fights with Khan and Kotelnik and then his KO over Broner, as much as i hate Broner he is a good fighter. And most importantly his performance over the best fighter on the planet. Fighting a close decision with an ATG is surely better than Brook fighting a SD with Porter. It wasnt just ******s that had Broner pound for pound, most in the boxing world did. I never i cant stand the guy but i recognise his talents.
Good ratings. Think the first 8 pretty much picks itself, then any 2 from Thurman, Guerrero, Khan or Bundu for the next 2 slots....wouldn't have Khan though with only 1 decent win over a shot fighter.

You do realise all those fights you mentioned (Malignaggi-Hatton, Malignaggi-Cotto, Maidana-Ortiz, Maidana-Khan, Maidana-Kotelnik) all took place at 140 and we are discussing 147 rankings alone here. Plus no, Maidana does not deserve to move up the rankings based on a defeat and Brook does based on a win. We aren't talking about who deserves to be rated higher pound for pound, we are talking about who ranks higher for accomplishments at 147. And thirdly most of the boxing world did not have Broner in the pound for pound list...your other post was going on about people not being able to see through the hype but if you couldn't with Broner than I pity you
