    I would say

    1) Martinez
    2)Jr
    3)Golovkin

I would fovor Golovkin over Jr if they ever fight.

6-11 are interchangeable, but Mundine is solidly locked down in the top five? :yep

Golovkin might be the best middleweight talent wise, but no way he is higher than Geale. Geale beat two solid world champions and who did Pirog beat?

Two once-solid world champions at the back end of their careers, one of them shot to bits. (and Sylvester was fairly ordinary, borderline paper champ even when he wasn't shot....never on Sturm's level)

I like Geale, but am not inclined to view his body of work so far through rose-colored lenses.

He has an OK resume, all things considered. If he'd beaten Sturm, Karmazin, and Sylvester even a few years earlier in their careers that batch of wins would be highly creditable. Albert is his next best, and he was never beyond B-level and was well-worn himself at the time. Don't even bring up Adama; he's garbage.

So four good name wins, none of them "great" (factoring in the circumstances) - and his best was one that could have easily gone the other way or been a draw against a guy clearly operating at about 70% of what he was.

    Pirog has wins over

    Tatevosyan
Jantuah - who KO'd Rubio in 1 rd
    Maciel
    G.Martirosyan
    Ishida
    Jacobs

    Chavez has

Molina - arguably lost both fights
Vanda - should have a loss against
Rubio - who Jantuah, Ouma and Baysangurov in his 14th fight all beat
Zbik - outlanded Chavez 2 to 1 in 9 of the 12 rounds and clearly won then got stopped against Sturm in 9 rounds in his next fight.
Lee - best wins Gibbs, Vera, old Bunema, Mcewen who was badly outboxing him

Pirog should be ranked ahead of Chavez and probably Geale too considering that his two best wins against slightly past it Sylvester and Sturm were both close SD wins. Five months after he won a SD over Sylvester Proksa destroyed him in 3 rounds.

Pirog tried to fight Martinez, Barker, N'jikam, Geale, Golovkin with all of them falling apart or not happening for reasons beyond his control and people claim he faked an injury which was clearly serious. ffs There are so many people bashing Pirog based on lies i think im going to make a thread documenting reality.

Pirog is the most underrated of the top middleweights.

Martinez and Golovkin are rated correctly for the most part, with almost everybody having them as the top two. Chavez if anything is massively overrated on ESB. The quartet from the British Isles, I'd say most people correctly have them at the back end of the top ten or knocking on the door. Pirog, who is clearly right up there behind Martinez and Geale, some people don't even have him in their top ten. :-( Crazy.

Whether on accomplishments or h2h ability, I don't know how anyone could have Pirog out of the top 5. Really IMO he belongs at 3.

And Chavez lost against Zbik but judges gave him desicion. And you remember what Sturm did to Zbik? And Geale beat Sturm.

:thumbsup Geale is better than Chavez (although when you throw PED's into the equation, it's possible Chavez would stop him if they met h2h) - but he still isn't up there with Martinez, Golovkin, or Pirog. :D

Geale is a very limited fighter. Macklin and Barker would both beat him convincingly, not to mention Chavez, Martinez, Golovkin etc.. I dont rate Pirog either.

Mundine 3 victories over Soliman was at Super Middleweight. Plus I feel "you" should have got the decision against Mundine. Plus Mundine most meanigful contribution to the middleweight division is getting KO'd by Garth Wood.

Barker and Macklin are limited as well, struggled badly at a level far below Geale. FWIW I thought Macklin beat Sturm clearer, although faded badly at the end, unlike Geale.

Sturm just came from one of his beast performances in his career, after everyone said he was finished. He stopped a guy that Chavez Jr. struggled with, you could argue that Pirog is underrated but that Ishida W is nothing since he's a 154. Jacobs was just an american hype job, but it's either Geale or Pirog who is # 2 at MW
