He beat Chavez and Nelson that alone is better than any win fraud has.

Funny thing is...I agree that Calzaghe is both overrated and underrated.

But this Whitaker and Mayweather thing has me confused.

Only (a) someone who hasn't seen the fight, or (b) a moron, would not count Chavez as a win for Whitaker. It was 118-110, a schooling.

That makes two wins over ATG opponents with the similarly glorious schooling of Azumah Nelson.

It's up to you if you include Oscar as a win, depends on how you scored it. But for a past-prime lightweight to even make a fight so close with an absolute peak ATG welterweight is something special.

From your posts on this thread, I very much doubt you have seen Buddy McGirt fight, nor know much of the career of Jose Luis Ramirez, nor comprehend the achievement of a past-prime lightweight outfighting a bull-strong light-middleweight like Julio Cesar Vasquez.

Who could Whitaker have fought that he didn't fight? You will struggle to come up with any names, and you will fail to come up with names that are better than who he did fight.

His resume is one of the best of the last 25, and is far better than Floyd Mayweather's.

Name me those that you think are better??

But to make a post and actually say in the post that Floyd rightfully gets flack for picking and choosing his fights carefully...and then in the SAME PARAGRAPH say that his resume is better than Pernell's...which is one of the best of the past few eras is just dumb.

There's nothing between the two. Whitaker's win over Nelson tops any of Floyd's wins. But one win doesn't make a resume.

From what I've read, El Cepillo is a very good poster, but I am inclined to agree about this particular thread.

So what you're saying is that because YOU don't know much about the other fighters Whitaker beat, that they are worth nothing??

Think about what you're saying here mate, it's ridiculous.
