Algeria was ruled as part of France itself. Many French settlers (colons) migrated to Algeria. Does that make them not French? For example Marcel Cerdan was born in Algeria. Try telling a French boxing fan or historian Cerdan wasn't French. Okay, the history lesson is not over and you got quite a few people to include.

The criteria for fighters to be included here is that they must have been born in Europe. If you are having difficulty in absorbing that ,ask somebody to explain it to you, I can't do any more!
I lived and worked in Algeria for 3 months,and have been in Sidi-Bel-Abbes, Cerdan's place of birth. Try telling an Algerian he is French! What the **** do you think that bloody war there was about! I repeat Algeria has never been part of Europe!
