Ah, so it’s fantasy matches not often proffered if at all.

I like Liston v Jimmy Young. Testing and frustrating for Sonny ala Machen but, at least as I see it, a fight that would show off Liston’s rounded skills over a number of rounds and I can actually see Sonny catching up with Jimmy sufficiently to put him out.

I go with a peak Eddie Machen, split decision.

Cory Spinks vs Kelly Pavlik. Spinks nearly beat Taylor but against Pavlik he would be facing a slower dude that struggled with movement. If Kelly couldn't plant his feet he was ineffective. I believe Cory could box his head off but Pavlik would obviously be favored as he should with his bone crunching power.

It's just a stylistic flaw that BHOP and Martinez exploited. I have seen Cory absolutely clown big dudes in the gym. He stayed at 147 for one fight too long.

Okay just thought about this one, Rocky Marciano vs Derrick Jefferson

Why? Because Marciano's right he landed on Walcott in their first is the best in heavyweight history and the same for Derrick Jefferson's left hook he landed on Maurice Harris.

VERY interesting mesh of styles. Would love to see Sanchez against a speedster.

Yeah, I always wondered how that matchup would have turned out. Salvador probably edges him, but he would be really frustrated.
