Gutted for Williams, was absolutely shafted by the judges. Think Jurgen mentioned it already on another thread, disgusting result. Was it Lochlin who had it 117-112 Parker? For those who didn't see the fight, Parker was one handed from about round 2 onwards and Williams pretty much had his way with him bar Round 1 and the last 3 rounds. Parker is a Sauerland fighter.
Disgusting decision by Steve Gray and Victor Loughlin they should be suspended and investigated by Robert Smith and the BBBofC there’s been too many dodgy decisions recently especially by Steve Gray they need to be accountable for their actions
Wow, I watched the fight, but missed them announcing the winner. I just thought it was a given that Williams had won! Shocked they gave it to Parker, no way did he win that fight!
Yeah it was a really bad decision. Corruption in boxing, many fighters, especially in the amateurs give up careers because of results like this fight.
Just watched it now. Couldn’t believe the 117-112?! Victor Loughlin wants sacking. There’s no way Parker won that, never mind by 5.
One of the most blatant robberies I've seen, was thinking at the end of rd 7 or 8 why Parker was still even there. He was clearly spent. Then end of 11th Williams corner said if they can give it to him they will give it to him, go land some shots. I already thought they might nick this for the home man but was convinced by then Williams had done enough on anyone's card. Shame he don't have ko power
Yeah had Williams winning myself. Parker finished strong and did very well with one hand, but Williams won. The least Parker's team could do is give Williams a rematch.
If the BBoC had any sense they would order the rematch. Williams won the fight, Parker should want to prove he would win with 2 hands. Credit to Parker for fighting through the injury but it’s not right that Williams has that loss on his record for the rest of his career. Loughlin should be ashamed scores like that can ruin someone’s career. If you are going to be corrupt atleast do it like the other judge did with a 155-113 score so you don’t look a numpty.
All you need to do is look at the reaction of Parker’s corner when he got the decision (shocked). Feel for Parker getting injured but feel mor for Williams getting a bad decision
I’d love someone to sit Victor Loughlin down and record him scoring round by round. That’s the bare minimum the BBBoC should be doing, even if they keep it behind closed doors amongst themselves. There needs to be some explanation on how he scored it so wide.
I was at the boxing last night and I had Williams winning very comfortably. The crowd did boo the decision as it stank!!
