Zhang-Wilder please

There's several major differences... for starters there was actually big money available for that fight, there wouldn't be as much for this.

And beyond that... men will act out of character when their pride takes a major hit. It doesn't matter if they have a miniscule chance of redeeming themselves.

 

Wilder has the hail Mary chance as always, all else is with Zhang. He doesn't even have to worry about gassing out with the low pace Wilder keeps.

I would guess something like last night - Zhang starting to get his timing after a round or two of felling out and soon closes the show. Wilder will look like a deer in headlights once that first left comes down the pipe.

 

The only way to beat Zhang is to have Iron chin and drown him in the later rounds. Or to have the skills to dodge his power punches which is literally impossible, cause the guy is very good boxer, cover his shots well, use set ups, and box quite well, and is a speedy ******.

If Zhang can crack Joyce chin which was absolutely Iron made, hell i would even said a granite one, no one chin is safe.

While i'm a fan of Usyk, if Zhang land flush he is going down as well. But Usyk rarely took flush hits.
Fury is definitely going down to sleep, and Wilder is doing chicken legs by million times lesser punchers than Zhang.

Zhang currently is the biggest puncher in the division by far.

 

Zhang would cripple Wilder. No need to see that, I quite like Deontay.

 

Huge money to make off fighting Zhang, all 1 billion plus Chinese population is a huge market to sell a fight too. Only problem is they might lose. So like you say, they won’t go near him.

Zhang’s best chance is the backing of some serious Chinese money that will make one of the top guys an offer they can’t refuse.

 

Zhang is mandatory for Usyk. He doesn't need to do anything to be fair. Usyk won't duck him.
But he wants Fury, and that fight won't happen.

Wilder will continue fighting bums, and maybe have a cash out fight with AJ, which is so much delayed, because of Saudi changing power in Boxing.
It's not about the money. Fury can be offered 1bil. and still won't take the fight, as he knows what will happen to him. And forget Fury goes to China fighting Zhang. Ain't happening.

 

Zhang is a better boxer but I feel Wilder is underestimated here. Wilder CAN fight. He's not a great boxer, but has instincts, is fast and athletic and does do a decent job of avoiding getting hit (except vs Fury but that's Fury). He's no Joyce in terms of leading with his face. And of course, has inhuman power. Wilder is ridiculously dangerous.

Fury is far too different in his elusiveness compared to other heavyweights. All other heavyweights are there to be hit by Wilder. Even then, Wilder still landed his money shot on him.

Imo, Ortiz was still pretty good when Wilder beat him and hit like a truck. Would love to see this but Wilder is NOT taking this chance. It was a miracle he fought Ortiz.

 

Wilder is underestimated by who exactly? Maybe by himself, otherwise he would have fought quality opposition, not just tomato cans.

 

I’m sure there are, but the majority of the billion plus population won’t be buying ppvs or even caring about a boxing match between zhang and Fury

 

He fought Fury three times my man. You can’t take that away from him. And the third time — after getting pummeled in the second fight — he chased Fury down in court.

Mind you, this forum said he never would fight a slick southpaw like Ortiz either. Until he did. And then Ortiz was a bum. And if Wilder were to beat Zhang, people would then say Zhang was an old shot bum.

Wilder obviously has flaws but he’s certainly brave. Truth is, Wilder/Zhang would be a great fight.

 

Zhang is not risking his WBO mandatory position by fighting anybody else other than the WBO champion,just look at what happened to Joyce !
