It may be my opinion but its an educated guess. Its a time of Randy/Liddell, Penn/GSP. Wonder what those years did in aggregate PPV for the year compared to 2008-2010. I also dont have the average per PPV, Im sure since they have it once a month now that the numbers will be skewed. But I would bet that except for the Brock factor, PPVs are down.

Also I could be talking MMA in general as well. MMA will not my ever reach the Pride/UFC glory years together in existence.

UFC 1 if you know me and my other posts, I am one of the oldest MMA fan here along with latineg so I dont give a **** what anyone thinks.

The only reason UFC is raking in Millions of PPV fights now are two things. Brock Lesnar and Prides dissolvement. Theres no one here that can convince me otherwise that the best UFC years werent 2005-2007. Thats before they started being redundant and started mimmicking the WWE business model as an entertainment entity instead of a sports one.

The only thing going on for the Zuffas right now to cater for MMA purists are WEC.

So if Brock and the collapse of Pride are the things causing UFC numbers to trend upwards, then why the hell did a card being headlined by Florian/Penn and Silva/Griffin in UFC 101 do about a million buys?

Slightly off topic, but if they ever do manage to stop illegal music/film downloading and streaming then the last decade may be looked back on as a golden age for the internet- when you could get anything for nothing :think

I honestly wouldn't care if the content available on their website wasn't so poor. Since they "upgraded" UFC on demand, all the video is grainy and pixelated, takes forever to buffer when you stream it and their media player sucks ass. My internet connection normally runs at about 90-100 Mbs, so the problem isn't on my end. If they want to make sure that people only watch their content through their website, the least that they can do is offer it in a quality format.

they will lose this fight, I can watch dream, strikeforce and K1 on youtube, but I would pay for it if it was available, not true with the ufc.

the ufc will survive without me, of course. what kind of bull**** are you spewing. why would I think that without me their done.

look at dana white 10 years ago, he was respectful and spoke well of boxing. but hear him now always dissrespecting fighters even ones in his promotion, he has become prideful.

Look at the ufc, they can sell any fight and people will buy it. they appear to run the world of mma, but they take steps to suppress other orgs, they helped in the destruction of pride and absorbed it, with absolute power they are suppressing the sport as a whole. why do that if your the premier org, the ufc will never control the entirety of the sport, why bash fighters from other orgs? why counter-promote against others orgs? they want to stop streams of their product too bad they will fail.

It seems they fear their competition, as they should.

they will spend a lot of money but will be swimming against the tide. people will continue to pay for ppv, the ufc will make its money. the lesson will be taught once agian, the internet = wild west.
