Fury's performance in the first Wilder bout wasn't his best performance to date.

His performances against Wlad and the rematch with Chisora were superior.

The vast majority of his title challengers were journeyman/gatekeeper types though. I feel he should get credit for beating world class opposition but the only opponents he beat I would classify as world-class (eg top 10) are Stiverne and Ortiz. With that sort of resume I don't see how anyone can argue he was great because ultimately greatness rests on tangible accomplishments not hypotheticals.

Joe Joyce is probably far better than his resume suggests but like Wilder I can't see Joyce being great based on what he has done to date.

That's actually got little to nothing to do with things. Greg knew this because Greg can read and comprehend.

It certainly does. It says i am not going to sit around watching you attack and belittle good friendly posters. After a while i am going to get sick of it and give you a dose of your own.

Because you deserve it for reasons I've already laid out quite clearly.

It's a little too late to try and put the spotlight onto other posters at this point, you know, just a little.

Good points Greg. It's a great sub forum here and the vast majority are great.

John got sick of you trying to treat him like you treat others on a routine basis.
John doesn't take it. John comes back harder.
John relented as you tried to somewhat mend things and post a bit nicer but it simply didn't last and before long you were back to being condescending on virtually a daily basis.
John then treats you for what you are.

I couldn't care less about getting a rise out of you, not one bit. My post was to simply expose you for what you are, which i described accurately earlier. That was achieved to the point where you, of all people, are crying a little foul.

It took about 10 minutes to compile what you are about.....because there's just so much of it. The time has proven worth it's weight in gold. When you go full dubblechin on people for too long it takes under a minute to whip out. I actually stopped reading your pathetic meanderings in the Don King thread but after seeing you light up again in here enough was enough.

Greg can disagree with me all he wants, he is decidedly safe. He is both a gentleman and someone who really measures their opinions well.

You come on here to act out your arrogance and angst. No doubt it doesn't fly elsewhere.

One thing I will say about Dubble to his credit is, he's very skilled at his craft of trolling. Say what you want but you can't take his skill away from him.

For sure. We better move on now......

    Usyk wasn't unbeatable at Cruiserweight.

No one mentions it but Michael Spinks was just under 200 when he beat Holmes and only 205 in the rematch. He wouldn't be totally out of place in there with a rehydrated 206 Usyk.

I don't think anyone's "unbeatable" their's always going to be someone who does something critical to your style better than you, and/or is just a horrible match-up style wise that while you may still win, their's always a chance of you losing.

For example, I favor 66-67 Ali over anyone who ever lived, but I'd be kidding myself if I said he was "unbeatable."

Don't really want to get involved in this squabble that's happening atm in this thread.

But overall my thoughts regarding this topic is that all the fighters that officially fought at Cruiserweight, I would make Usyk a favourite over them. For me making Usyk the best H2H fighter at Cruiserweight overall.

As for fighters who could've of made Cruiserweight limit that's a different ball game, fighters like Patterson, M Spinks, Marciano, Charles, Moorer. Usyk definitely loses to some of them. And even Bob Foster who wern't successful at Heavyweight, may of fared better at Cruiserweight would've been highly dangerous aswell.

"With that sort of resume I don't see how anyone can argue he was great"

It depends on your criteria for greatness, there's huge disagreement there and factors other than resume come into it. Many believe that Vitali is great and there's a good case for it but did he beat anyone as good as Ortiz 1? I don't think so.

For me, if Andy Ruiz beat Wilder that would make him a great heavyweight. A 6', 270 lbs obese Mexican beating Joshua and Wilder is insane, you probably could have got 500/1 odds on it a few years ago. But others would say "he doesn't have the body of work to be great".
