That's precisely why I went with Douglas, the left hook, its the same one that nearly beheaded Fortuna IIRC. I've seen a slew of Douglas matches, long before he ever got the Fortuna shot, he was fairly highly touted over here. He was being groomed to be a low lvel PBC star. As far as his losses go, I don't consider the loss to Fortuna anything to be ashamed of, and I don't really consider it a loss. I think I had it a draw. It was incredibly close and competitive. As far as the Cherry loss, that was not remotely close to a loss, it was one of the worst robberies of that year IMO. So to me, Omar is actually undefeated.,

Can't argue against that. I had him winning the Cherry fight too. I think i scored the Fortuna fight closely against him but was razor close and a lot of close rounds so can see another outcome for sure.

In addition we should not forget that Haymon & PBC are promoting the whole event. I am not really informed about the fact if Selby is actually with Haymon or not, i know he was with Haymon in the past (2015-2017) and he signed a three fight deal with Warren at he end of 2017 but no idea if he's still with him after losing to Warrington. Douglas obviously has a PBC history so i doubt they gonna rob him badly here if he performs well and comes close enough to get the win. Especially with no big title on the line. But do expect a cheering UK crowd which goes crazy with every shot Selby throws no matter if it's wide or not. So maybe a small advantage for him here and i have some concers about Douglas output. Selby usually is very busy.

All in all it's a great daredevil pick and a great underdog. I mean Douglas is about a +500 underdog here at the betting market. No way this is reflecting the actual percentages. I would say 65/35 or 60/40 Selby with the home advantage, in terms of skills it might be even closer. As i am having a bet on Douglas with real money i'll stay with Selby in the league as i do it before many times lol. :D

One thing to consider, I and a few others viewed the Cherry robbery as Haymon paying Cherry back for losing against Pedraza, that many thought he did enough to edge. Because Cherry is well liked and he got two gifts in a row, inexplicably, the one with Douglas and his match against Haskell Rhodes, that he was nearly shutout in, and still got the W. So... will this time, Douglas be the guy that gets the favorable payback win here? Hmmm.

Rhodes who was beaten with a near shutout like performance by Douglas btw...
Douglas is really good. I always was high on him and he's still young.
I am a bit surprised about the fact Selby is fighting a guy like Douglas in his 135 debut. Expected at least one or two "feel in" fights for him after stepping up two classes although he barely made 126 in the end and was drained to the bone. Weight classes are there for a reason and stepping up two isn't as easy as many think although Selby is more a 130 pounder than 126 as he's relatively tall and well composed. Douglas still might be the slightly "bigger" man comes fight night.

Yep, no one has seen that fight, so who knows, but since it wasn't a MD or SD, I'm inclined to believe the scores. Also Rhodes used to fight at 140, and fought Lipinets, he was a small LWW, but still, he took 5 rounds off off Lipinets on my scorecard, and with relative ease, and like I said, he dominated Cherry. So if Douglas did clearly win, that's impressive as hell.

Yeah, both are in the UK. And unfortunately Douglas-Selby comes first.
