Cerdan. Cerdan was the bigger man. At middleweight Cerdan was superior to Duran in every practical category. This isn’t even a fair matchup for Duran. You’re talking one of the greatest middleweight’s to ever live versus one of the greatest lightweight’s to ever live. C’mon people use some common sense. Duran’s fight versus Barkley was sensational...but it was Iran Barkley! Duran was knocked cold against The Hitman inside 2 rounds, lost to Robbie Simms (a great sparring partner), and is applauded for merely going the distance with The Marvelous One, a fight I think Duran is overrated for, as I didn’t see him faring as well as many did. I gave him maybe 2 rounds with Hagler. Hagler never really went after Duran the way Hearns did. Think what the dynamo that was Marcel Cerdan would’ve done with the smaller Duran over the course of a 15 round fight. If you thought he was tired the last two rounds with Hagler, think of the championship fights with Cerdan who was a more explosive type puncher than Hagler, and those punches came in volleys. I go with Cerdan by unanimous decision or late stoppage. Not fair to Duran to match him against such a great middleweight.

Credan would win, likely inside 6 rounds. Duran style puts him into the fire, and Cerdan had far more firepower with a better chin too.

Just feel like sharing some old man Duran. I always appreciate old pro's who win because of their technique and ring iq as opposed to their physical eroded abilities...

Hard to say conclusively , if Cerdan engages Duran it'll be a fight that Duran can win, how tall and what was Cerdan's reach?

Cerdan loss 4 yrs of his prime to WW 2 and was a machine . Too bad he didn't get a chance to avenge his Title loss to La Motta. He did make a impression on Jake "You had to fight him as i did to know what a fine sportsman he was " after his car accident death. Marcel was ahead of his time in training remember reading he did roadwork sometime's running backwards and did sprints zig zag and in short spurts to stimulate a boxing round.
