Fury has signed with Top Rank and Arum doesn`t want the Wilder fight next where does this leave their rematch? Who can Fury fight now? Why has he signed with Top Rank?
Is Pulev with Top rank? I get the sense Pulev does not fancy AJ so if Fury and ESPN/Toprank can make Pulev an offer to fight for his mandatory spot? Could be a good way of forcing himself in to a mando position with Joshua, take 25%, beat him then be free of any rematch clauses. I think Fury would back himself to beat Joshua (not my opinion but I think he would back himself) and then he would have the lion share of the belts and be in the driving seat moving forward. Its the only was I can see the balance of power fully shifting as without the mandatory spot fury would be tied up with rematch clauses and B side percentages even if he did win.
Doesn't require another thread. Been discussed at great length both on this forum and on the British forum in various threads. https://www.boxingforum24.com/threads/tyson-fury-next-opponent.624673/page-5#post-19690206 https://www.boxingforum24.com/threads/what-does-wilder-do-now.624684/ https://www.boxingforum24.com/threa...d-wilder-vs-fury-2-on-the-way-but-now.624715/ https://www.boxingforum24.com/threa...r-with-interm-bouts-then-fight-in-sep.624731/ https://www.boxingforum24.com/threads/what-does-wilder-do.624674/ https://www.boxingforum24.com/threads/bizarre-shift-in-opinion-of-fury-v-wilder-ii.624416/
He's signed with Top Rank because he knows Wilder isn't actually contracted to Showtime as far as we know.. That means that it forces Wilder and his team to come to Fury, and not the other way around. It's a clever move to make Al Haymon's side look silly. It also tells us whether Haymon is interested in negotiating with Top Rank and Bob Arum for future fights like Crawford-Spence. We know how bitter Showtime can get when they see one of their stars having to negotiate with other channels. We've seen it with Joshua-Wilder (Whoever you blame, it's clear Showtime couldn't stand the idea of that fight being on DAZN) Maybe Eddie's claim that Showtime would be finished within a few years is coming true.
Wilder says he's free to fight on whatever network he wants. So ESPN shouldn't be a problem. Wilder got schooled by a 10 stone overweight coke addict and barely had any warm up fights. I know it's hard to accept as a Wilder fan, but it is what it is. If they fight, they fight, if not Fury has beaten him in most peoples eyes anyway
